John Law's Mississippi Bubble colonization recruiter in Mobile was Swiss soldier Jean Guillaume Beuret (Burat), a special witness for the King in 1720, and grandfather of Hubert & Sebastian Burat: "Quartiers des Burats", the Burat Settlement which became the 1840s town of Buras in Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana.
