Isaac Rosario started playing saxophone at the age of 13. He played in one of the hottest salsa bands in Chicago by the name of La Junventud Tipica. The name of the band was changed in 1978 to Chicago's Tipica 78. He opened up for some of the big name groups from Puerto Rico and New York in the salsa scene. He lead his own group from 1989 to 1991 called It's- Us, smooth Latin jazz. Isaac joined a group called Louie and the Lizards (later called Tell Me Joe) playing rock, fusion, and funk with a Latin feel, he was an influence in the sound and musical direction of the band. He freelanced with bands in Chicago as well as a few D J's, of which included Ralphi Rosario of the Hot Mix 5 (his brother), DJ Lego, DJ Enigma and DJ Dwight playing solo to house and hip-hop. Isaac currently playing in a jibaro jazz group called Conjunto Quarto, playing Latin jazz and as they call it jibaro jazz with a little salsa mixed in. He plays tenor, alto, and soprano sax.
