Red Shaydez is a Boston-based hip-hop artist, educator, and business strategist with roots in Macon, GA and Jamaica. Her name reflects her aura and unique worldview—“Red” for passion, and “Shaydez” for her childhood nickname and signature sunglasses. A GRAMMYs Recording Academy voting member and Boston Music Award winner, Red has been featured on MTV, BET Jams, NPR, and The Boston Globe. She’s a powerhouse performer who has graced stages like A3C and BAMS Fest, and her video *“Little Sabrina”* was selected for the 2020 Roxbury International Film Festival. Beyond the music, she teaches a Hip-Hop collaboration course at MIT, curates festivals like Aura Takeover with Fenway Porchfest, and co-produced a statewide Teen Music Maker Showdown with the Boston Public Library.
