Uncle Kage's Story Hour started in 1994 when the gentleman known to compatriots as "Uncle Kage" began telling a story to a friend in a hotel lobby and noticed that a large crowd had gathered to listen. His storytelling moved to the stage a year later, and since then he has appeared at venues throughout the world to audiences as large as 2000.
