Description

Mat4yo is a writer, rapper, performer, and analyst who has been creating content about rap and video games for more than 10 years. He is now best known as an artist in the Nerdcore genre, performing raps inspired by the ‘Pokemon’ franchise and collaborating with fellow rapper, Cam Steady.

In 2015, Mat4yo created a video series deconstructing rap songs titled, ‘Chisel This!.’ This led to him becoming a writer for two installments of ‘Epic Rap Battles of History’ in 2016.

Mat4yo has performed live at PAX East in 2016 and 2017, and Nerdcore Party Con (NPC) in 2023.

Thousands have watched his ‘Challenge Raps,’ in which he wordsmiths oddities of the English language.

Mat4yo has published albums including ‘Evergreen Datastream’ (2020), ‘Passionroots’ (2019), ‘4nology’ (2017), ‘Fire Rap Version’ (2016), and many other projects.

Although his most active days on YouTube are in the past, Mat4yo is always ready to pick up the pen when the right inspiration sparks. So stay tuned!
