Dylan and Jordan Suierveld formed Aerius in early 2009. They went through a couple of line-up changes until mid-2011 when they discovered present-guitarist John Martinez. Later that year, vocalist Tristan Leyone joined after the separation of his previous band, Rusted Eve.
