Opera in Williamsburg has been creating two or more productions of fully-staged operas a year since 2012 (in 2020 one opera movie). It is funded by ticket sales, individual contributions, and grants. It was inspired by the operas of the IVAI in Tel Aviv under Joan Dornemann and Paul Nadler. Unlike the IVAI which was a very advanced training program, Opera in Williamsburg is a professional opera company and pays its artists. We create effective, attractive, engaging and elegant operas with outstanding singers, committed acting and directing, and meticulous ensemble work, with chamber orchestra. We record our live performances professionally by Arts Laureate. We are happy to share the recordings with you.
