Welcome Dreamers!
We are Kira & Steve and this is our journey!
We are homestead dreaming, meaning that we aspire to some day have many acres of our own to cultivate, but until then, we're making the most of the space we have!
We spent 2017-2021 slowly but surely trying to become as self sufficient as we could be on our tiny 1/5th of an acre lot in NE Oklahoma, zone 6b and in December of 2021 moved to another suburban homestead of 1/5th of an acre in Central Arkansas, zone 7b, to be closer to family.
So grab a drink and I hope you enjoy the ride as we navigate the ins and outs of growing our own food, caring for our livestock, and stocking our shelves in a compact space!
