Salt & Tar is a husband and wife duo determined to build a 35 foot custom George Buehler designed wooden gaff ketch sailboat; documenting their undertaking. 2.5 years into the project, Garrett and Ruth transported the boat to the San Francisco Bay Area. It began up a hill in Washington state. Equipped only with a 5000W generator, a few power tools, and resolution, Rediviva has grown from a stack of lumber to a boat. Continuing the project on the ocean they left the dock in the Napa Valley Marina after 7 years of non-stop building. Follow the adventure and come along for Rediviva's first nautical miles.
