I first discovered the Hitman series in 2004 when I found Hitman 2 on a bargain shelf in a computer store. The idea of playing as a globe-trotting assassin was a novel concept, but I decided not to buy the game because I felt it would be watered-down. Several months later, I received it as a Christmas gift. Imagine my surprise (and disappointment) when I opened a box and saw the same game again. But, I decided to give it a chance. My initial reaction was mixed. I found it frustrating, confusing, and difficult. However, there was something about Hitman 2 that kept me coming back--the open-ended level design; the innovative gameplay; the music; the story; the bald assassin. These are elements that turned me into a lifelong fan of the Hitman franchise, and ever since then, I have been crafting my own unique strategies and pushing the limits of the games.
