Description

Dakota Wind Meat Goats is a commercial meat goat farm located in central South Dakota. We raise boer and boer/myotonic (fainting) goats for breeding and to sell for meat. The owner, Marilyn, has raised livestock for over 40 years including cattle, sheep, horses, and, most recently, goats. We have raised meat goats for over 8 years. The farm includes grass land, alfalfa, and acreage for growing corn and soybeans in addition to raising goats. Marilyn runs the farm with help from her hired hand, Ron, her daughters, Elissa and Rachell, and her three grandchildren, Avril, JR, and Elana. Dakota Wind raises its own alfalfa, hay, and corn for sale and for our livestock. Our goal is to raise healthy, fast gaining goats while being as environmentally friendly as possible.
