The J.T. & Margaret Talkington College of Visual & Performing Arts (TCVPA) is the beating heart of Texas Tech University. We're a close-knit creative community with all the advantages and resources of a world-class public university! Our students from all over the world shine with Texas-sized ambition, curiosity, and compassion.
TCVPA provides a supportive and ambitious arts education to arts-obsessed undergraduate and graduate students—including DMA and PhD candidates—spread across three different schools and a department:
School of Art
School of Music
School of Theatre & Dance
Department of Interdisciplinary Arts
TCVPA grads are theatrical sound designers and modern dance teachers. They're gallery owners, experimental sculptors, and art historians. They're symphony conductors, opera singers, and Broadway performers. Most importantly, our alumni lead rewarding lives marked by unceasing creativity, hard work, and honest expression—habits that they learned right here at TCVPA.
