Welcome to Amanda Toast, an online radio show where two Amandas deconstruct their favourite fantasy and sci-fi tv shows, movies, books, games, and more over a fresh fun cocktail of the hour. Join us while we drink and talk about things!

Season 1 of Amanda Toast is all about Season 1 of the Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. This season will have 12 episodes, one for each episode of the series plus an introduction and conclusion. In each episode we discuss what we love about the show, as well as its shortcomings, and celebrate the magic of this series while we wait for a renewal of Season 2.

In this season, we deconstruct and analyze the AOR's symbolism, dialogue, characters, plot, narrative structure, colour and tone, and more to explore themes of power, control, and connectedness. We draw inspiration from sources such as mythical astronomy, religion, political and social science, psychology, and intersectional feminism to make our assessments.
