There is a suitable paragraph for this situation: when you were a child, you were praised for being able to walk from your bed to the door. But when you grow up and have to make your own way in the jungle, no one praises you for having to get over a fallen tree.

This is so me, the "gifted" of my batch.

I used to have top grades at till high school. but after entering uni taking architecture, i was struggling having a clear structure and making proprities, ended up having decision paralysys and procastinating. Its very problematic in a field when there thousands of decisions involved in a project and deadlines are tight

This is me!!!!! 100%. My mom abd teachers tried to get me into gifted programs when I was 8-9 but the schoolboard assessors said "I'm a different kind of gifted". So I stopped giving a crap in school after that. Rest of life is you have "so much exceptional potential but you're just here? It's such a shame, what's wrong with you?".
