One tidbit of K. Rool’s grand return I feel is understated is his loading screen tip when you first enter the planet core. “Surprisingly sophisticated behind his too short temper.” One of the writers HAD to have at least done some research on the cartoon, right? That description fits his incarnation there like a glove! It definitely gives me hope for the inevitable DK movie.

I think the coolest thing about K Rool in Bananza is how they made him mirror DK.

To me, what made Bananza's ending so special was the fact that it was a celebration of everything about the Donkey Kong series. Having King K. Rool and the Kremling Krew take over New Donk City, a location that is pretty much a symbol of Donkey Kong's arcade roots, which is also the home of Pauline, who originated from the arcade game and is one of the main playable characters just feels incredibly poetic. It's the fusion of these important eras of Donkey Kong, embracing and coming together for one big bombastic finale. It truly brings a lot of cohesiveness back to the series that had been missing for so long.

I hope Benedict Campbell one day reprises his role for a game one day. K. Rool's Bananza bio even implies his performance helped to establish K. Rool's personality.
