“Hashchi” (Thickets) is a video project that allows and even forces to look at Ukraine in a different way, a project that shows a provincial Ukrainian backstage that everyone else usually avoids, is ashamed of or just doesn't notice. We show little-known pages of local heroic and shameful history, the most deaf corners of Ukraine, dead and dying villages, forgotten disadvantaged and lonely inhabitants of these villages and towns with their fates, troubles, joys, amazing Ukrainian nature, mentality, not always from the best side , trying to look at familiar things from a different angle. Ukraine - without cosmetics and jewelry. All this is our video project, in which we try to be honest and sincere first of all to ourselves, and therefore to the viewer.
