Contre was always inspired by music ever since his arrival into America in 1997 from Ethiopia. In 2005 Mo Kidd, a former member of the 605 Boyz, gave him a taste of how to record music. To be completely honest, before Mo Kidd, he was recording on a computer stick microphone with trash quality mixing and mastering. After learning what he could while on summer break, ContrÉ™ went back home to Texas. He took what he learned, began purchasing equipment, slowly cultivating his style, had a long journey full of struggles with self-doubt and fear of putting content out until July 13, 2018!!! Yeah, we weren't joking about the long journey part.
