Bon Jour! My name is Alexandria (Lexie).
Traveling and baking are my two passions which is how The Traveling Baker was born!
For as long as I can remember, I loved to experiment in the kitchen. Several years ago, I attended the French Pastry School in downtown Chicago. What an amazing experience it was to learn from the top pastry chefs in the world! From learning the basics of kneading of bread to the tempering of chocolate, this experience started my craving for wanting to learn more.
Whenever I travel, I want to immerse myself into the culture of their food by means of experiencing the tastes of the local bakery to attending a local cooking or baking class. I would love for you to follow along with my journey exploring the world one place and one food item at a time!
I even post recipes for those that need to follow strict diet restrictions! Leave a comment if you have any requests! So come along and let’s enjoy some of this food together!!
