Cryptic - The Hacker Game

Description

We are developing an MMO hacking simulator with real time strategy elements.

The game idea was once brought to life as a community project by the German YouTuber The Morpheus. The idea was to develop the game together in a community independently and without a game engine for the web. In the following years, a multiplayer web prototype of the game was developed and the response and feedback from the community was huge. A new game design concept and UI design was then developed. After almost 5 years of running, the project unfortunately stalled and no work has been done on it since mid-2022.

With fresh motivation, two heads of the team went to work and decided to implement the game in Unity. With the changeover to Unity, faster progress could also be made directly and after about 7 months of development, a first alpha version was released on 01 March 2023.
