Welcome to my channel.

My name is Johann von der Altenlauf and I like to compose music. My preference is especially historical music in the style of high classicism to late romanticism, including german folk music and marching music. My preferred instrument is the piano and keyboard, but I also try to use other MIDI-instruments - unfortunately I lack the financial capacity for better equipment, technology and programs, so instruments can sound a bit artificial in places and therefore I resort to piano sounds.

About my person:
Many of my musical and compositional skills I acquired autodidactically and from books, so my compositional style does not correspond to academic standards, but in my opinion art is especially about individualism, so it doesn't bother me if I deviate from that occasionally.
My big life dreams include learning to play the organ and publishing my own opera or operetta.
