As a motorcycle travel journalist and part of the ALPENTOURER team, I regularly share stories from my rides across Europe and beyond. I love twisty roads and epic mountain passes—but whenever an interesting story or an unusual natural phenomenon catches my eye, I’m happy to forget about the perfect line and just follow my curiosity.
Those detours often lead me to remote places, far off the beaten track—and, more importantly, to the people and their stories. These aren’t postcard locations or cliché destinations. That’s exactly where I feel most at home telling stories.
Because in the end, it’s those unexpected turns that make motorcycle travel so special to me.
For me, the bike is much more than just a way to get around—it’s a way to experience everything more intensely. You truly feel the places you ride through: the fine dust of the Sahara, the raw dampness of Scotland, the smell of rain on hot asphalt.
