Echt Amsterdam is a stage for Amsterdam initiatives that make our city better, more fun and more beautiful. Think of people, organizations and activities that benefit the city, its residents, culture and environment. Amsterdam as only Amsterdam is. Mesjogge, merciful, free and social. But above all, all these residents, entrepreneurs, volunteers and free thinkers together form the soul of our city.

Literally anything that contributes to a 'better, more fun and more beautiful' Amsterdam can be awarded the recognition. Both individuals and organizations or initiatives that add value to the city are eligible for Echt Amsterdam recognition. They have proven their added value and clearly demonstrate that they are resourceful, stubborn and authentic.
