Born and raised in Montgomery Alabama (Tulane Court Projects) Cortez Oates, P/K/A Rubberband OG began making music when he was gifted a drum machine on his 13th birthday. Rubberband worked independently for several years posting videos and songs online, growing his audience. His online presence quickly began to rise, expanding his notoriety. Rubberband released a mixtape titled: "Bout That Life" which included a moody video that premiered on WSHH garnering million views date to date. From there, the rapper "Rubberband O.G since collaborated with established producers and emcees, such as Zaytoven, ATL Jacob, YFN Lucci, Q Money, No Cap, Money Bagg Yo' Bread Gang artist Big Homiie G and YTB Fatt amongst others.
