Welcome to a world of nonverbal autism and epilepsy. J has become prompt reliant and does not initiate any activities, except aggressive behaviors when she is in need or in disagreement. She has come to the age of transitioning into some independence; however, she has to learn daily tasks and developing some verbal language to assist her in conveying her wants and needs with others. J is engaging more in the step by step process while participating in new activities through observation, verbal ques and role modeling. She’s gaining confidence in unfamiliar social interactions but there's times of frustration and meltdowns. J is making progress through decision making, expressive language, coping strategies, as well as social skills to make her own possibilities possible. We're supporting through kindness, patience and acceptance of J's challenges.
