Description

The Way is narrow that leads to life and few find it (Matt 7:13-14). Christianity was first called "The Way" (Acts 9:2; 18:25-26; 19:9,23; 24:14,22). It was called "the Way" because Jesus' disciples followed him by walking in his footsteps (1 Pet 2:21) to live the life of Christ (Gal 2:20) sharing his his sufferings that they might share in his resurrection life. This is how they put their faith in him. They denied themselves, surrendering themselves to him, trusting that his walk is the Way to eternal life. Because our forerunner entered the holy place by his own blood, he himself is the way of salvation and he comes to dwell in those who obey him. So as Jesus taught we must take up our cross, and follow after him to be saved (Mk 8:34-38). The way to life, is not conforming to your interpretations of a book but conforming to a living person named Jesus. There are many pretenders but few who do the will of the Father which is to walk as His son walked (1 Jn 2:5-6).
