Wax Pack Wisdom
Description
Telling the history of baseball through the cards we love. We open wax packs from baseball (and other sports too!) and share our collecting journey. Our channel was founded by the husband and wife team of Jake and Abby O'Donnell.
If you want to learn about baseball history there's no better way to do it than through baseball cards!
We also release The Hit List, a conversation between Jake and New England-based vintage collector/dealer Matt from Providence, every other Wednesday on Wax Pack Wisdom.
Subscribe to our channel and please check out our social media feeds as well.

I love these episodes. I appreciate the nice words. I do have rules. One of them is to talk slow and with a southern drawl. I think Matt talks too fast for me to understand him sometimes in regular speed. I have to turn him to .75!

Great honest exchange guys. It’s a great portal into the mind of a wheeler dealer like Matt. Jake playing the straight man to perfection. These little detailed anecdotes about interactions at shows help make for some entertaining content.

I love the conversation about collecting the cards that you like to look of, not necessarily the ones out are the most expensive. Some of my favorite cards are not worth much at all, I love the way they look. For example, 1976 Oscar Gamble Topps traded. Afro CITY!!!! That’s actually a good subject for you guys to cover. What are the cards in your collection that you love the aesthetics of, not how much they’re worth or not how rare they are. You just love to look at it!

Great episode. I ran through a bunch of consolidation moves in my head, thinking about how to get the Cobb from Matt.

Now my favorite YouTube podcast. Someone needs to adjust or buy a new microphone though. Lots of background noise at times.
