Sweet Goose is the musical project of Chris Mather, a UK folk musician and storyteller hailing from Hebden Bridge who has been captivating audiences with his fresh and innovative mix of modern and traditional folk music.

Drawing on his lifelong love of animals and nature, he writes songs that celebrate the wild beauty and wonder of the natural world.

His playful style of storytelling and infectious live performances have led him to supporting acts such as Blackbeards Teaparty and Mobius Loop at venues and festivals across the UK.

In addition to his music, he also runs a wild bird rescue and is a passionate animal rights activist. His debut album 'Aila' is released this summer (2023) and is filled with powerful and inspiring songs about rediscovering lost relationships with animals and nature.
