Description

Anna Makeeva is a singer-songwriter, producer based in Moscow, Russia. Her music releases have been featured in such music publications as Rodnoj Zvuk, Motherland, SILKMILK, Wonderzine, aired on Radio Maximum.
After the release of her first self-produced EP Rodnoj Zvuk called her “Moscow Jessie Ware” and nominated her twice for Best R&B Performance. Her music also got coverage from famous Russian band Therr Maitz.
She performed within Moscow Music Week, Sofar Sounds, Red Bull Music Festival, participated in the feminist music camp Parallel Residency.
Being influenced by various styles, from acid house to soul, from Psychic TV to Curtis Mayfield, she developed a unique sound that is a surprising and a fresh mix of light electronic r&b, dark trip hop beats and psychedelic ethereal pop with soulful deep vocals in the center of it.
