Description

Obey the Sun are a grunge metal band from Hungary, formed in the music underground in 2020. Hot-blooded,
headstrong, and unapologetic; they give us a hard dose of grit and a blast of attitude with massive riffs,
thunderous rhythms, raw soulful vocals, and a desert-soaked feel. Obey the Sun are Tamás Orbán-Ducos on
vocals, Péter Szmolnik on guitar, Gergő Kelemen on bass, and Krisztián Nagy on drums, and altogether, this bold
project creates an atmosphere rich with stoner appeal, sludge undertones, and a heavy groove-vibe we feel in the
heart of our nightmares and dreamscapes.

The band’s origin story, getting the dynamic right was so painless, it seemed that the
moon was in the seventh house and Jupiter aligned with freakin’ Mars. Krisztián wanted to start something fresh
and luckily, he and Gergő already knew each other. They found Péter on Facebook. The last link was the instrumentalists meeting their new vocalist, Tamás in a gyro place on a boulevard in the city center. So it began.
