Sweet friend mail. Merry Christmas! I think if things fit in the envelope and thereโs enough postage, it shouldnโt be a problem. But mail service nowadays is not like it used to be.

Hi Marijo as for postage I think they go by thickness of the envelope. But youโre right it seems some post office charge differently.

Marijo, it depends on how thick the envelope is...1/4" can fit thru the automatic system that whizzes the envelopes thru. If a person has to fiddle with it (it gets stuck), then you have to pay for a 1st Class package. I started taking the extra layers off cocktail napkins (i.e. thickness) to reduce the envelope's padding.
