Your depth of knowledge is obvious, but what really stands out (especially in the recent one) is the passion you bring while still meeting people where they are. Dr Mike should change his channel name to Patient Mike with how patiently he's dealing with them

The problem is that the majority of the people on that show are just grifters and aren't actually trying to have a productive conversation. They're just trying to get people in gotcha moments. That's why most people say that this series is not productive.

i was personally extremely moved by you telling that woman not to apologize for crying about her husband. you saying to take a second and breathe was really a beautiful moment that showed what compassion looks like.

The setup is ridiculous. If the group doesn't want to hear an explanation they can just flag you. Seems like the whole thing is to garner more controversy

As someone who is AWFUL at public speaking, I can’t help but watch this and admire your confidence even when I’m knowledgeable on a subject, you put me in front of multiple people and I freeze up trying to talk about it.

Dr Mike always maintains such a positive and sincere attitude. It can be hard to keep your calm, especially in debates you're passionate about but I really respect how he can assertive and informative while still acknowledging other perspectives and not judging them because of it. :)

When debating people who fell for conspiracy theories you have to be aware that you’re often debating experts. Not experts in the respective field like medicine but rather experts in these conspiracy theories. That means you need to know the area the conspiracy theory is about and the conspiracy theory itself. That’s why being an MD doesn’t automatically qualifies someone to debate medical conspiracy theories.
