🦍 The goal of this channel is to inspire a legion of musicians to play and create music that matters and to carry on in the tradition of riff-fueled rock music like Black Sabbath, Sleep, Melvins and so many more incredible bands in the Sludge, Stoner, Doom and Post-Metal genres.

As for me, I'm Jered, the founder of Beholden to the Riff, a platform dedicated to heavy music and the bass lines that propel it.

My journey began as a teenager, captivated by the deep, resonating sounds of the Riff.

Over the years, I've played in numerous bands, shared the stage with incredible musicians, and earned a degree in Music from the University of Wisconsin.
