Description

Northern California or the State of Jefferson is a province fresh from the pioneer days. Most of the countryside is covered by impenetrable forests sprawling up rugged ridges. Below the mountain peaks, numerous rivers and streams flow through fertile valleys and small plains. The people here don't associate themselves as Californians and live a primarily rural lifestyle. Redding, the largest city in the region is the only major urban center for hundreds of miles. This is truly the Appalachia and West-Virginia of the West Coast. Since I moved here, I have taken advantage of the untamed natural beauty.
