Name-Shiro-Riki's father, a silver and grey Akita Inu. Shiro is the mate of Yamabuki, who gave birth to his offspring. He later realizes that Riki is his son. Shiro tells Riki to be strong and brave, which inspires him to do so. Shiro is eventually killed by Akakabuto, leaving Riki wanting revenge.

Description: A silver Akita bear dog, Shiro is only seen in the beginning of the anime for about three minutes when he and his owner, Gohei, are chasing Akakabuto. Gohei shoots Akakabuto in the eye (Which is what caused him to get so dangerous and crazy) and injures Gohei badly. Shiro attacks and fights Akakabuto, but is thrown off the cliff with the bear. Shiro died, but Akakabuto lived on and went mad from the gun shot in the eye. Shiro is the father of Riki. You see more of him in the Ginga Densetsu Riki manga.
