Over the last 14 years, I have enjoyed beekeeping in the Yukon. I have developed an approach that allows me to successfully overwinter, grow my bee nunbers internally and produce decent amounts of delicious boreal forest honey. Yukon has a subarctic climate, short cool summers by southern standards and long cold winters. With proper attention to small details, a beekeeper can be successful and maintain a sustainable apiary even in north of 60. My goal is to develop data driven approaches. I share through Youtube videos, written articles and through my Facebook group.
