Reprove means to correct usually gently or with kindly intent. It is not arrogant, nor prideful. The truth is the truth.
"... ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints."
Act "... We ought to obey God rather than men."
Contend means to strive in debate or argue.
Argue means to give evidence of, to consider the pros and cons of (DISCUSS), to prove or try to prove by giving reasons, to persuade by giving reasons.
